Renovation and Addition
This house renovation and detached two car garage addition is located in Oak Park, Illinois. The project was a collaboration with my former studio professor, Mark Rakatansky (currently teaching at Columbia University). Mark notes, “The project utilizes fencing, siding, decking, and flooring as way to enact the social and spatial issues of the boundaries of property and habitation, inside and outside, surface and structure, containment and excess, domestic demarcation and its ambiguity.” This project remains unbuilt due to a shift in family priorities.
